Stay Fit Outside The Gym
January 19, 2012
Midway through the first month of New Year’s Resolutions, Work Out West is hoping that you are sticking to all of your fitness related goals. As you may have seen, our fitness guru Dig Deep With Dolly has been giving some excellent tips to maximize your health related goals both inside and outside of the gym on Facebook.
Find recaps of the best of the best so far in 2012 below.
- Shop Smarter: When visiting the store, shop on a full stomach. Greasy potato chips and cookies will have far less appeal. Also, make a shopping list so you remain focused throughout your store visit.
- Don’t Skip Meals: While the idea of not eating may seem logical, it actually sends your body into starvation mode. More times than not, you overeat at your next meal which leads to that weight gain you were looking to avoid.
- Keep A Fitness Diary: Track what you are doing at the gym and what you are eating on your way to your fitness goals. It makes you accountable to yourself and helps you identify what is working and what can be improved upon.
For more of Dolly’s fitness tips of the day, become friends with her on Facebook. Ask questions, submit recipe ideas, and far more. She is always looking for interaction with her fellow Work Out Westers.
You can also become friends with Work Out West on Facebook for class updates, news and announcements, and other essentials to get the most out of your gym membership. We look forward to your posts!
